The emphasis was on the delivery of their speech. This meant speaking clearly, varying their pace and tone, using gestures to effect and using eye contact to engage the audience. Working in pairs they offered constructive criticism and feedback to each other. They presented their speeches to the class this week and were assessed by the teacher and three of their peers, a daunting prospect.

There were some excellent presentations and the other exciting thing was to see how closely their marking came to the teachers. This showed they had a great understanding of what they were trying to achieve and could recognise it in others. Well done Year 10!
