William arrived at Mrs Staniford’s office, proudly showing off his hard work over the summer. When asked about his favourite page, he chose the day he went in his Dad’s truck. William had carefully illustrated the event, complete with Dad and William in the cab. 

If your child has completed a summertime journal and would like to display it at the Welcome BBQ, please drop them off at the Student Centre. We can’t wait to hear about your summer! Don’t forget, there will be prizes for the best journals.

Throughout the year, we’ll be continuing our focus on teaching and learning diverse writing skills - with special focus on the curriculum area of ‘structure’. If you would like to know more about developing structure in writing, ask your child’s teacher at our first round of Conferencing and Goal Setting later this term.
