TCAS cricket players have a blast!
Three junior students signed up to play cricket in Balclutha on a Tuesday. All have learnt new and valuable skills and had a blast in the process.
For six weeks this term, Harriet Parker, Thomas Bradfield and Maggie Bradfield have travelled to Balclutha on Tuesday afternoons to compete in the Smith's City Girls Smash and Boys Cricket. As there were only a few players from TCAS they joined a combined team with Warepa and Rosebank schools to play round-robin games. The rules were simplified to cater for the range of abilities. Players learnt new ball skills, fielding and bat skills. The organisers hope to run the competition again in Term 4 and it would be amazing to have our own TCAS team in the draw. The students have really enjoyed all aspects and are looking forward to playing again soon!
