Stay at home if you're sick!
A reminder that we are still at Alert Level 1 and staying at home if you’re sick is still the best thing you can do to stop any future spread of COVID-19. This includes runny noses and coughs.
We have detailed below information taken from the New Zealand government's COVID-19 advice website:
If you have cold or flu symptoms you should stay home, and call your doctor or Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice about getting tested.
These symptoms include:
- a cough
- a high temperature of at least 38°C
- shortness of breath
- sore throat
- sneezing and runny nose
- temporary loss of smell.
If you have any of these symptoms it doesn’t necessarily mean you have COVID-19. The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as colds and flu.
