Samoan Cultural Day
Samoan Cultural Day
On Tuesday, students from Rooms 3 & 19 with Year 7/8, enjoyed a day of Samoan art, flax weaving and singing with Mrs Tyrell who visited our school as part of the Samoan Cultural Day. We had a great time and some valuable skills were learned as well as an insight into Samoan culture was gained by all of us who were there. An added bonus was having Setu, our Samoan Teacher Aide, helping pupils with tapa designs and flax weaving. Pupils from Year 1-8 will be performing a bilingual song at our school prize giving in November.
