In Memory of Tracy Blanchard
It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the death of Tracy Blanchard. Tracy brought light into our school with her effervescent personality and her deep care for others. Everyone will miss her.
On Tuesday, October 22nd, at 2 pm the school will hold an afternoon tea and tree planting ceremony to recognise Tracy’s contribution to our lives. Everyone is welcome – please bring a plate to share.
In the main foyer, we have a memory book; please drop in at any time to share your memories and photos. When the book is complete, we will send it to Blake.
I have spoken to Tracy’s sister; she reinforced to me Tracy’s love for The Catlins; the students, teachers and community in Owaka and beyond. There is an online memorial for Tracy which you can access by following this link: http://www.tributes.co.nz/ViewMyTribute.aspx?id=14764. Tracy asked for donations to The Mary Potter Hospice rather than flowers at her funeral in recognition of their support.
Tracy’s funeral is on Thursday, October 17th at 11 am at The Guardian Funeral Home in Johnsonville, Wellington.
