TCAS STEM competition!
The Year 7 and 8s have spent some time having a STEM competition which focuses on applying Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to solve problems and build projects .
This term’s STEM Competition was an exciting and dynamic journey for our Year 7 and 8 students, who tackled creative and challenging tasks across all areas of STEM. In Maths, Mrs Kaur guided students through hands-on measurement challenges, while in Technology, Miss Gardner supported the construction of impressively engineered wooden bridges. Miss du Randt brought the creative flair to the competition, leading students through the visual design and specification process for their bridges. In Science, students explored key physics and engineering concepts to strengthen and refine their final builds.
The competition wrapped up on Friday, 28 November, with students completing their final challenges in great spirits. A huge congratulations to our winning team, MBCS (Sophie, Brooklyn, Casey, and Madison), for their outstanding teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving throughout the competition!
