Worldwide success for Learning Village students!

Five students took Learning Village to a whole new level when they came in Top 10 in a worldwide competition.

Five TCAS students took part in a super fun online challenge in Learning Village, and guess what… they came 5th in the whole world! Otto Mageria, Tofiga Tyrell, Johan Mission, Hunter Jarvis and Lillian Tyrell spent last week competing online and we are proud of how hard they worked.

Learning Village is a program that helps students learn English using lots of pictures and games. It’s great for students who are bilingual, still getting used to English or need extra help and practice. The lessons cover everyday words, school topics, and phonics, and they make learning feel fun too.

Our team spends one hour each day in Learning Village with Teacher Aide Annie Riley, who keeps everyone on track, smiling and learning at the same time.

The students had plenty to say about their experience. Hunter said he has finally learned all the months of the year in order, and he loved playing against students from other countries. Tofiga said Learning Village wakes up his brain and helps him learn new words. He thought the competition was lots of fun and said Annie makes every lesson even better. Johan has been learning about continents and especially enjoyed learning about Australia, Australia Day, and all the cool animals that live there. He said the competition was tough but really fun. Lillian has been exploring different countries and what makes them special, including how they celebrate. She enjoyed the competition too and loved taking part.

A big congratulations to our amazing team for representing TCAS so well, and a huge thank you to Annie for all her hard work and support. What an awesome achievement!
