The Owaka and District Schools' 150th Jubilee is fast approaching. Visitors to the school will see an impressive bell tower housing the renovated school bell. This dates back to 1885 when the Owake School (original spelling!) was situated on the site now occupied by the swimming pool and Little Hoiho.  The bell has been beautifully restored and is ready to ring on March 8 when the Jubilee is officially opened.
