Meet the Prefects for 2025!

Meet the team of Prefects that are helping the Head Students this year:
Kia ora everyone, I'm Elyssa , one of the Prefects this year. I've been at The Catlins Area School since Year 9. I'm looking forward to being able to help the Head Students this year as I love organising events. I'm also excited to be able to bring a cultural presence and lots of fun activities for everyone.
I am Kaiyo Nakajima, I have been at TCAS for almost 7 years and the thing that I love most about this school is the friendly environment. Outside of school I have a strong interest in sports such as swimming and basketball. As a Prefect, I'm looking forward to being a positive role model to younger students and helping organise events like the formal.
Hi I'm Flynn Lietze and this is my sixth year at The Catlins Area School. TCAS is great because there are opportunites for everyone like sports and trips. I really enjoy playing sports but I particularly enjoy mountain biking. I enjoy helping out at events such as Athletics Day, helping with sausage sizzles and this is what I am looking forward to most as being a Prefect.
My name Is John Mission. I have been studying at the Catlins Area School for almost 2 years. With the time I've spent in the school I have made friends and developed skills, so as a Prefect I want to share my knowledge with people that are younger than me and take up leadership roles to help and guide other students. I look forward to working with the other prefects and helping the TCAS community.
Hi I am Laine and have been at TCAS for about 7 years now. One thing I love about TCAS is peace, we have a very calm and peaceful school and environment. I am looking forward to working with teachers, students and my Prefect team in this role. I am also looking forward to being a cool role model for our students. Looking forward to making our school GREAT!!!
Talofa, I’m Phillip Lealavaa and I have been at TCAS since 2022 when I started as a Year 9 student. I like that the teachers are friendly and that there is loads of learning support. As a Prefect I want to be a good role model and help the Head Students. I would like to help organize more fun and cultural activities.
