Local surf lifesaving volunteers have been recognised recently and one of our phenomenal teachers has been on the receiving end of the top prize. Fiona Wilkinson received the volunteer of the year award and received recognition at the 2024 Otago-Southland Awards of Excellence held in Dunedin. She volunteers in many roles in the club, including as a lifeguard co-ordinator, a junior coach and an organiser for various events.  Fiona was recongnised in the newspaper and you can read the full article here.

Not only does Fiona volunteer for Surf Lifesaving, she gives up time for Owaka Junior Rugby as a co-ordinator, volunteers for Clutha District Hockey and even coaches, referees and takes our senior hockey players to Dunedin each week. Thank you for volunteering so much of your time Fiona, you are an absolute superstar and we are fortunate to have you here at TCAS!
