Top Team is back for another year and this year TCAS had a record number of 14 students interested. Top Team is a series of interactive team building challenges designed to promote problem-solving, communication and teamwork while being active and having fun. Students are teamed up and compete against other schools in the region to be the Top Team! 

The first Top Team saw the iconic quiz take stage with each team split into three smaller teams. Questions from who sings this pop song to what a rhinoceros' horn is made from. Teams then headed downstairs to play Bombardment. Bombardment is when two teams face each other on a parallel line and throw various sized and weighted balls at a swiss ball in the middle of the playing court. Hitting the large target then creates momentum for the swiss ball to roll over and hopefully enough to get to the other team where the goal line is. Plenty of strategy moves and various techniques were on display.

For the final mini challenge teams raced in groups of three with hula hoops to get from one side of the court to the other. The only catch was players were only allowed to stand within the hula hoops to move. It created a great chain of teamwork, with some pretty creative piggybacking to help!

Well done to our Year 7 and 8s, we are all looking forward to the challenges of Top Team in Term two.
