Nǐ hǎo to Alleria!
We welcome Alleria who will be teaching Mandarin to our Junior School.
Alleria Xu hails from Wuhan, China, which is located in central China. She is a post-graduate student from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Alleria is a major in English translation. She has impeccable English and is spending the year visiting various schools in our area teaching Mandarin. When she isn't in the classroom, she would like to travel to places of interest and enjoy local food. Alleria enjoys calligraphy, listening to music and walking in her free time.
This year she will be teaching the students some basic Chinese words and sentences and also customs and games from China. Wednesday was her first visit to TCAS and we have the feeling classes and Alleria and going to have a great time together!
Thank you to Ms Smith who co-ordinates and organises a Mandarin teacher for our school, we are Gǎnjī de (grateful) for the opportunity given to our ākonga!
