Balls, bails, bats and brilliance!
Jaiden came to teach our juniors some new skills to show off on the cricket pitch.
Otago Cricket offered to run free sessions at school this week by sending Jaiden Chhika, a Play and Sport Activator to run some taster sessions to get students interested in modified programmes. Budding cricketers were involved in a 30 minute sessions where they were taken through a range of games and are designed teach children valuable small-ball and cricket skills through play. These visits are also designed to promote modified programmes which are run in Balclutha and Girls Smash & Summer Smash Cricket.

"It was fun and I liked learning new skills"
"The games were fun and the batting was too"
"The only thing that was bad was it wasn't long enough"
