Room 19 get down and digital!
The children in Room 19 have been studying Robotics using the Lego Spike sets. SPIKE Prime is a creative toolbox with unlimited possibilities for students to practice critical thinking, data analysis, and how to develop diverse prototypes that solve complex problems with real-world relevance. It encourages children to communicate, and problem solve together and helps children develop their computational and analytical thinking skills. The feedback is instant because if you have block coded it correctly the robot will do what it is programmed to do.
Luke Affleck and Patrick Harrison designed a robot that breakdanced, and programmed it to do multiple moves. Harry McDougall and Bailey Powell worked on a brain that had multiple sounds and functions.
