This term in Room 1, Mrs Parker has been teaching a science unit on Mixtures. We have made fruit salad, categorised lollies, and have looked closer at different substances using a digital microscope in the Science lab, with Ms Currall.  We have continued on with the theme of Mixtures, by creating jelly, mixing salt with water, and also sugar with water to see what happens. 

We have been extending our science vocabulary and using these new words to describe what we see, hear, feel, smell and taste.  We are building up to the end of the term when we will take part in a science expo which will give whānau the opportunity to see what we have been learning first-hand.
